This platform supports enterprise applications that tackle complex data analytics and security challenges. Key Responsibilities
As a backend engineer at Securiti, you will collaborate with a globally distributed team to design and develop the company’s core backend platform. Your duties will include creating detailed design documents and developer test plans to guide development efforts. You will manage the full lifecycle of new features and product enhancements, from development through deployment and testing. Writing reliable, secure, high-performance, and scalable code that aligns with product requirements is essential. You will conduct thorough code reviews and perform code analysis to uphold quality standards. Monitoring platform performance and participating in on-call rotations to promptly address urgent issues will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will work closely with customer support teams to resolve reported issues effectively and integrate new technologies into the backend cloud infrastructure to enhance platform capabilities.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have at least 2 years of professional software development experience. Proficiency with container technologies such as Docker is required, along with a solid conceptual understanding of multi-threaded application development. You should be skilled in one or more programming languages, including GoLang, Java, C++, or Python. Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and bash scripting is essential. Familiarity with best software development practices—such as rapid development cycles, peer code reviews, and writing functional/unit tests—is expected. Experience with microservices and REST-based HTTP/2 architectures is necessary. Hands-on experience with both SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch) databases is required. You should also have knowledge of performance tuning, profiling, and software metrics tools, along with excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Understanding continuous integration tools like Jenkins and experience working in agile development environments are important. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is a high-energy, proactive attitude, teamwork orientation, and eagerness to learn new technologies. A working knowledge of networking and web concepts rounds out the qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
For senior roles, experience in building highly available and scalable distributed cloud systems is highly valued. Candidates who demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities for complex engineering challenges will stand out. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure is preferred, along with experience in container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker. Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and deployment tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Docker is advantageous. Understanding network services—including load balancers, security, and quality of service (QoS)—is a plus. Awareness of platform-level concerns such as configuration management, network request routing, blue/green or canary deployments, and in-service software upgrades is beneficial. Experience developing API-based connectors to cloud-based SaaS services is considered a significant advantage.
