Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented finance professional to join our team and manage expense vouchers, maintain accurate accounting records, and support various financial operations within the company. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of daily bookkeeping, cash book reconciliation, inventory tracking, and cross-departmental coordination for financial adjustments. The successful candidate will also assist with tax-related activities and prepare monthly financial reports for senior management, contributing to the company’s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify expense vouchers and approval documents related to company expenditures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Record and maintain departmental expense accounting records using accounting software, ensuring up-to-date and precise financial data.
- File vouchers daily to maintain proper bookkeeping and easy retrieval of financial documents.
- Reconcile the cash book on both a daily and weekly basis to monitor cash flow and detect discrepancies promptly.
- Track and update inventories, including mobile phones purchased from suppliers, to maintain accurate stock records.
- Analyze and document receivable adjustments provided by relevant departments, ensuring all financial entries are justified and accurate.
- Coordinate with various departments and branches to resolve any discrepancies in receivable adjustments, fostering smooth interdepartmental communication.
- Record monthly adjustment entries in the factory’s ledger to reflect accurate financial positions.
- Collaborate with the aftersales department to finalize month-end adjustment entries, ensuring completeness of financial records.
- Assist with daily cash counting and disbursement to employees, maintaining transparency and control over cash handling.
- Prepare and compile comprehensive monthly reports and presentations summarizing financial activities for submission to the CFO.
- Communicate regularly with vendors via email to reconcile monthly balances, ensuring vendor accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Support the Tax Manager by liaising with branches to collect data related to withholding tax, sales tax, and provincial tax.
- Assist in reconciling tax ledgers and depositing tax amounts with relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Help prepare income tax challans following ledger reconciliation to facilitate timely tax payments.
- Assist in the preparation of sales tax returns and payment challans, supporting the company’s tax filing processes.
- Support the preparation of quarterly withholding tax statements to maintain accurate tax records.
- Facilitate the issuance of withholding tax deducted challans to vendors and branches, ensuring proper documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in finance or accounting, demonstrating practical knowledge of financial processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software coupled with strong bookkeeping skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal teams.
