Intern QA Engineer

Job Summary
Robust Agency is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Intern to join our team and contribute to the quality assurance processes across multiple projects. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in software testing, bug tracking, and QA methodologies. As a QA Intern, you will work closely with developers and product teams to test new features, identify defects, and improve the overall user experience. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment and gain practical exposure to industry-standard QA practices.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for executing test cases to identify software defects and verify functionality. This includes reporting and tracking bugs using issue-tracking tools to ensure clear and organized documentation. You will assist in creating comprehensive test plans, writing detailed test cases, and maintaining testing documentation to support the QA process. Your testing activities will cover functional, regression, and exploratory testing to ensure thorough coverage of the software’s features.

Collaboration is a key part of this role; you will work closely with developers and product teams to reproduce issues and assist in resolving them efficiently. Additionally, you will learn and apply QA best practices to enhance testing effectiveness and efficiency. Active participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings will keep you aligned with the team’s goals and project progress.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A foundational understanding of software testing concepts, the software development life cycle (SDLC), and APIs is essential. Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as Jira or Click Up is advantageous but not mandatory.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are critical for identifying and troubleshooting issues effectively. You must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate clearly. Attention to detail and a genuine passion for software quality are vital traits for success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Knowledge of automation testing tools like Selenium or Cypress will be considered a plus. Experience with API testing tools such as Postman is also beneficial. Basic programming skills are an added advantage and will help you better understand test automation and integration.
