Job Summary
We are looking for a committed Production Officer to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team based in Karachi. This role is tailored for candidates holding a PharmD degree who are passionate about maintaining high standards in pharmaceutical production. The Production Officer will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising manufacturing operations while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will be proactive, capable of managing teams, streamlining workflows, and collaborating effectively across departments to deliver safe and high-quality pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
The Production Officer will develop and implement detailed production schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation to consistently meet manufacturing targets. Monitoring production processes is essential to guarantee adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory requirements. This includes conducting regular inspections and initiating corrective measures to maintain product quality.
Continuous evaluation of production workflows is expected to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality. The role involves addressing equipment issues promptly, optimizing operational procedures, and integrating new technologies when applicable.
Accurate and comprehensive documentation of all production activities must be maintained to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance. The Production Officer will also enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations within the manufacturing facility, keeping updated on industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
Leading and managing production staff—including technicians and operators—is a core responsibility. The Production Officer will foster a motivated and productive work environment to achieve production goals. Collaboration with research and development, quality assurance, and supply chain teams is vital to ensure smooth coordination throughout the production cycle.
Additionally, monitoring and controlling inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods will prevent shortages or excess stock. The Production Officer must quickly identify and resolve any production issues or deviations to minimize downtime and maintain consistent product quality.
Staying informed about the latest advancements in pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies is essential for continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, with a strong preference for those possessing a PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree. A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a pharmaceutical production role, such as Production MTO or Officer, is required.
Applicants should have proven knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and pharmaceutical production standards. Reliable commuting or willingness to relocate to Karachi before starting employment is necessary. The role also requires readiness to travel as needed, up to 100%.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Additional certifications or specialized training in pharmaceutical production processes and GMP are highly advantageous. Experience in team leadership and cross-departmental collaboration will be considered a plus.
This full-time position is based in Azizabad Bangoria Town Industrial Area, Karachi. The role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000.
