Assistant Project Delivery Manager

Job Summary
Unilever is seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Delivery Manager (B&W) based in Rahim Yar Khan to support the engineering agenda across Pakistan and contribute to the broader PTAB B&W initiatives. This role is pivotal in overseeing project execution, managing resource allocation, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and global technology partners to uphold engineering excellence and support sustainable business growth. Reporting to the Engineering Lead PTAB, this position operates at Work Level 1 and plays a key role in driving successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of all assigned projects. This includes monitoring and managing annual project cash flows to maintain financial discipline. Coordination between internal teams and external contractors is essential to ensure smooth project execution. Efficient resource allocation and management will be critical to meeting project objectives.

Leading various project phases such as Concept Engineering, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Engineering will be part of your role. You will develop comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and maintain detailed project schedules to track progress. Collaboration with finance teams is necessary to support asset capitalization processes.

You will also liaise with global technology and regional design teams on plant and site layout work, ensuring alignment with overall engineering standards. Overseeing consultants and contractors while implementing construction safety management plans will be key to maintaining a safe working environment. Managing supplier visits, evaluating technical bids, and preparing Project Procurement Plans will form part of your procurement responsibilities.

Executing projects with minimal disruption to existing plant operations is a priority. You will apply the EEM 7-step methodology for major projects and ensure a thorough project handover with detailed documentation to site teams, enabling smooth transitions and operational continuity.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering. A professional background with 2 to 5 years of engineering experience, preferably within the FMCG sector, is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools is necessary to manage project documentation and schedules efficiently.
