Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for analyzing both semi-finished and finished products, including validating analytical methods for new product introductions (NPI), process validation, and cleaning validation. This ensures timely batch approvals that align with supply chain demands. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation such as logbooks, sample management records, and testing data is essential.
A strong technical knowledge of laboratory instruments is required to ensure equipment is well-maintained and fully operational during and after analyses. You will prepare and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and analytical worksheets, troubleshoot instrument issues to maintain fast and accurate testing, and conduct Level 1 (L1) investigations when necessary.
Managing timely sampling and testing for process validation, cleaning validation, and NPI samples is critical. This includes maintaining proper records and ensuring the cleanliness and correct storage of sampling tools. You will also be responsible for completing Quality Management System (QMS) related actions promptly, including Change Controls, Change Actions, Deviations, CAPA, Out of Specification (OOS) investigations, and L1 audits.
Reviewing analytical data and performing sign-offs for routine and process validation activities will be part of your role. Maintaining sample storage in accordance with electronic Laboratory Management (eLM) systems and providing training to associates on eLM usage is expected. Additionally, you will train new analysts to ensure competency and adherence to quality standards.
Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company quality policies, and all applicable legal and corporate guidelines is mandatory. You must also adhere to Environment, Health, and Safety policies and procedures as required by law and company standards. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support evolving business needs.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry (M.Sc.) or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D). A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience working in a Quality Control laboratory within the pharmaceutical or related industry is essential.
