Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services and APIs that support AI-enhanced desktop applications. These applications feature capabilities such as local inference, contextual awareness, and interactive AI models, primarily targeting Electron-based or hybrid client environments.

Collaboration is essential in this role. You will work closely with desktop and React Native teams to design API contracts that address platform-specific constraints while optimizing performance. Your efforts will ensure native-like responsiveness and a consistent user experience across platforms.

A critical part of your work will involve contributing to backend systems that manage concurrent AI model invocations. This includes efficiently handling GPU and CPU workloads and implementing intelligent queuing or throttling mechanisms to maintain smooth on-device AI performance.

You will actively participate in the development of complex platforms, continuously learning and applying new technologies to enhance product capabilities. Throughout the development lifecycle, you will uphold strong security practices to protect user data and maintain trust.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have over six years of professional experience working with Node.js and JavaScript. Proven expertise in desktop application development using Electron, Tauri, or similar frameworks is essential.

Experience with React Native or integrating backend systems into mobile and desktop hybrid environments is required. You should demonstrate a strong ability to optimize performance and resource usage on both desktop and mobile clients.

A solid understanding of security best practices in software development is critical. Additionally, you must be capable of quickly learning and adapting to emerging technologies and frameworks to keep pace with the evolving tech landscape.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Familiarity with secure inter-process communication techniques will be highly valued. Knowledge of peer-to-peer networking technologies such as Kademlia, BitTorrent, or libp2p is a plus.

Proficiency in languages like C++, Swift, or Kotlin will enhance your candidacy. Experience working with AI and agentic domain applications, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI SDKs, is desirable.

Understanding real-time data delivery systems, particularly those built with Node.js or other streaming technologies, will be advantageous.
