Job Summary
Qualitest Group is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester with over 5 years of hands-on experience to join their Hyderabad team. This role requires working onsite at the client location 2 to 3 times per week. The primary focus is on developing, implementing, and maintaining robust automation scripts and frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements, design effective solutions, and continuously enhance existing processes.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Automation Tester will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test cases across frontend (UI, mobile) and backend (API, integration, component) systems. Strong programming skills in Java and Python are essential for creating and maintaining automated test scripts. The role involves designing and maintaining automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, BDD Cucumber, and RestAssured.

Mobile testing will be conducted using platforms like LambdaTest and BrowserStack to ensure consistent application performance across devices. API testing will be performed using RestAssured and Postman to validate backend services thoroughly. The candidate will build scalable, reusable automation solutions that can be adapted across multiple projects.

Collaboration is key in this role, requiring close interaction with QA analysts, developers, and business analysts to identify automation needs and provide technical input during requirement gathering and design sessions. The tester will execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects promptly to maintain software quality.

Regression testing will be conducted to validate application functionality after updates or changes. The role also involves working with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps (ADO). Identifying opportunities to improve automation processes and tools for enhanced efficiency is a continuous responsibility.

Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in automation testing is expected to ensure ongoing skill development and methodology improvements. Additionally, the Senior Automation Tester will provide training and support to team members on automation tools and processes, ensuring effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in automation testing.
- Proficiency in Selenium with Java (rated 4/5) for automation development.
- Experience with API testing tools such as RestAssured and Postman (rated 3/5).
- Working knowledge of Appium for mobile automation (rated 3/5).
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
- Familiarity with test frameworks including JUnit, TestNG, and BDD Cucumber.
- Experience in mobile testing using platforms like LambdaTest and BrowserStack.
- Ability to integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player mindset.
- Willingness to work onsite at the client location in Hyderabad 2 to 3 times per week.
