Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Accounts to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial accounting and reporting, with a particular emphasis on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with IFRS and statutory regulations. This role is ideal for partially or fully qualified Chartered Accountants (CAs) who are eager to advance their careers within a dynamic and rapidly growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager Accounts will be responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, including both standalone and consolidated reports, in strict accordance with IFRS and the Companies Act 2017. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements is a critical part of this role.
Managing accounts payable and receivable processes is another key responsibility. The candidate will oversee accurate transaction recording and timely reconciliation to maintain the integrity of financial data.
This position requires close coordination with external auditors during half-year reviews and annual audits. The Assistant Manager will be expected to address audit queries promptly and comprehensively, facilitating a smooth audit process.
Leadership and team development are also important aspects of the role. The Assistant Manager will support and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement in financial operations.
Additionally, the role involves identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance system efficiencies. Proficiency with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle is essential to drive these improvements effectively.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should be partially or fully qualified Chartered Accountants (CAs) with a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in financial accounting management. A strong understanding of IFRS, the Companies Act 2017, Income Tax Ordinance, and related regulatory frameworks is required.
Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to articulate financial information clearly and collaborate with various stakeholders.
