Job Summary
Unilever is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager for Workplace Experience & Operations to join the HR team at its Lahore office. Reporting directly to the Manager of Employee Experience, this full-time role plays a critical part in shaping and executing the Workplace Services strategy. The position ensures smooth daily operations aligned with service standards and the broader organizational goals. The focus is primarily on Facilities Management, overseeing in-house FM contractors responsible for both soft and technical services (excluding technical services within production areas). Beyond facilities, the role also involves managing Real Estate, Travel & Fleet, Project initiatives, and Agile Working practices. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with excellent relationship-building skills, capable of driving supplier performance and managing workplace transformations while respecting local cultural and operational nuances.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of daily service delivery, ensuring all workplace services meet or exceed agreed service levels, whether managed internally or through third-party providers.
- Lead the regional Workplace Services team, which includes managing two direct reports and coordinating multiple service providers covering facility management, cleaning, and fleet/pick-up services.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to deliver outstanding workplace experiences and operational support tailored to their needs.
- Develop and implement strategies for all in-house FM contractors and service providers, continuously monitoring performance to maintain high service standards.
- Partner with the safety team to coordinate safety operations, ensuring compliance and smooth execution of safety protocols.
- Ensure strict adherence to company governance and control frameworks across all workplace-related processes.
- Own and manage the regional budget, aligning expenditures with business priorities and optimizing cost efficiency.
- Lead negotiations on cost structures with contractors and service providers, working alongside procurement to finalize annual business agreements.
- Drive workplace-related change initiatives, communicating effectively with employees to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with service providers and internal teams, engaging geography leadership to maintain accountability and ensure successful delivery.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with service providers and key internal stakeholders.
- Support the management of international visitors, including visa processing and related logistics.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in General Affairs, Facility Management, or related functions, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record in leading capability-building initiatives and managing both internal teams and external contractors or service providers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, especially in dealing with third-party service providers.
- Experience managing insourced operations teams effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders with confidence.
- Competency in project management and change management methodologies.
- Proficiency in cost control, budgeting, and financial oversight.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Leadership qualities marked by resilience, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
