Jr. Site Engineer (civil construction)

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Site Engineer to join our civil construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and supervising on-site activities to ensure projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards. Working closely with project managers, architects, and contractors, you will help deliver construction projects within scope, on schedule, and within budget, while upholding stringent safety and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Site Engineer, you will oversee daily site operations to guarantee that all work aligns with project plans and technical specifications. You will continuously monitor construction progress, quality control, and safety compliance to maintain project integrity. Collaboration is key, as you will coordinate with architects, designers, and contractors to promptly resolve any technical challenges that arise during construction.

You will supervise subcontractors and laborers, ensuring that all parties adhere to project standards and meet deadlines. Regular site inspections will be conducted, and you will prepare detailed progress reports for management to keep all stakeholders informed. Maintaining strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies on-site is essential to protect personnel and assets.

Additionally, you will be responsible for measuring and managing material quantities, facilitating timely procurement to prevent project delays. Identifying potential risks throughout the construction process and recommending effective mitigation strategies will also be a critical part of your role.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. You should have 2 to 3 years of practical experience in civil construction, preferably with exposure to building projects. A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements is essential.

Proficiency in project management software and tools such as AutoCAD and MS Project is required to effectively plan and monitor project activities. You must possess excellent problem-solving skills and strong organizational abilities. The ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications is crucial for success in this position. Demonstrated leadership skills and effective communication are also necessary to coordinate teams and liaise with various stakeholders.
