Job Summary
Sequel Technologies, a leading software company specializing in healthcare IT and medical billing services for the U.S. market, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Surgery Scheduling Representative. This role plays a critical part in supporting surgery scheduling workflows by acting as a liaison between patients and client healthcare practices across the United States. The successful candidate will ensure seamless coordination of surgical procedures from the initial request through post-operative follow-up, maintaining accuracy and efficiency throughout. Familiarity with U.S. healthcare systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision are essential. The position is based in Bahria Town Phase 7, with a preference for candidates residing in Bahria, DHA, Askari 14, or nearby areas.

Key Responsibilities
The Surgery Scheduling Representative will monitor flagged surgery requests and designated queues within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system daily. When surgery details are unclear or incomplete, the representative will confirm requirements directly with clients to ensure accuracy.

A critical part of the role involves verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits for scheduled procedures. This includes submitting prior authorization requests through payer portals, fax, or phone, following up with insurance providers to secure approvals, and accurately logging authorization numbers in the EHR.

The representative will coordinate pre-operative planning by scheduling necessary imaging, lab work, or medical clearance appointments with primary care physicians, cardiologists, or other specialists. Any delays or additional requirements must be promptly communicated to clients.

Patient communication is key: the representative will contact patients to provide surgery details such as date, time, fasting and arrival instructions, and required documentation. Pre-operative instructions will be sent via email or patient portals, and confirmation calls will be made 1–2 days before surgery to review preparation steps and address any questions.

Post-surgery, the representative will schedule follow-up appointments according to established protocols, confirm details with patients, update the EHR accordingly, and notify clients immediately of any complications or special concerns.

Daily or real-time updates on scheduled surgeries will be provided to clients, with prompt responses to any queries regarding patient status. Maintaining clear, professional communication with both clients and patients is essential throughout the process.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, with confidence in engaging directly with U.S.-based patients and healthcare providers. Experience working within U.S. healthcare systems and familiarity with Electronic Health Record platforms are required.

A solid understanding of surgery scheduling and insurance authorization processes is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of multitasking effectively under pressure. Prior experience in a healthcare coordination role is highly advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Preference will be given to candidates residing in Bahria Town Phase 7/8, DHA 1, Askari 14, or Humak Rawalpindi. The role requires working hours from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM to align with U.S. time zones.
