LV Cable Termination Electrician

Job Summary
We are currently seeking skilled electricians specializing in low-voltage (LV) cable termination to join our electrical installation projects. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in LV cable termination, jointing, and testing within industrial or commercial settings. This role demands practical expertise working with various cable types while strictly adhering to safety and quality standards on-site. Candidates must be prepared to work closely with project teams to ensure timely and compliant completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute termination of LV power cables up to 1000V, including XLPE, armored, and flexible cables, ensuring all work meets technical specifications.
- Accurately read and interpret electrical layout drawings, cable schedules, and termination details to guide installation processes.
- Perform cable preparation tasks such as stripping, crimping, lugging, and connecting cables to panels, switchgears, distribution boards (DBs), and motor control centers (MCCs) following established industry standards.
- Conduct insulation resistance and continuity testing before and after cable termination to verify system integrity and functionality.
- Ensure all terminated cables are correctly labeled, routed, and neatly dressed to maintain organization and operational efficiency.
- Comply rigorously with safety protocols and work permit systems, especially during live or near-live operations, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate closely with site supervisors and quality assurance teams to facilitate inspections, approvals, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in LV cable termination within industrial or commercial electrical projects.
- Solid understanding of various cable types, sizes, and the appropriate termination techniques for each.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and electrical testing instruments relevant to LV cable work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical safety practices, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physically fit and capable of working on-site in challenging conditions, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
- Demonstrated reliability, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety standards.

Contract Terms
- Employment Type: Full-time, contract-based position.
- Duration: 2 to 3 months, or as dictated by project requirements.
- Location: Kemari site.
- Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience and skill level.
- Nature of Role: Temporary contract.
