We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to lead and manage the AP function across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices across APAC, EMEA, and Americas regions.
- Lead the accounts payable team by providing guidance, training, and conducting performance evaluations to foster growth and accountability.
- Build and maintain positive vendor relationships, promptly addressing payment inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, financial regulations, and tax laws in all accounts payable activities.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and key metrics for management review and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal departments to secure timely approvals for vendor invoices.
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrades of accounts payable systems and software to support operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency within accounts payable operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues or discrepancies, applying corrective actions as necessary.
- Work closely with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes within established timelines.
- Monitor accounts payable aging reports to maintain strong supplier relationships and manage outstanding payments.
- Handle escalated accounts payable issues by providing effective solutions and guidance to the team.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and document management to ensure audit readiness.
- Uphold information security standards, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security.
- Identify and report security risks affecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
- Understand and comply with data privacy and protection requirements related to data storage, processing, and transmission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or an MBA.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the Accounts Payable function.
- Candidates with professional qualifications such as CA or CMA and 8 to 10 years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills to effectively manage teams and vendor relationships.
