Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Audit Assistant to join our team and support the execution of scheduled audits focused on both financial and operational business processes. This role requires applying technical audit knowledge to ensure strict compliance with audit standards and company policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing audit procedures, verifying financial transactions, and maintaining accuracy in financial records, all while ensuring professional and thorough audit documentation is upheld.
Key Responsibilities
The Audit Assistant will assist in conducting audits as outlined in the company’s Audit Charter, covering a broad range of financial and operational activities. You will be responsible for developing tailored audit procedures and checklists specific to assigned audit tasks, ensuring a systematic and comprehensive approach.
A critical part of the role involves verifying and reconciling banking transactions, payments, receipts, and financing activities to confirm compliance with company policies and rolling forecasts. You will audit cash payments and receipts in line with established procedures and applicable policies, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial dealings.
Reviewing recorded transactions is essential to confirm adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and accuracy, supported by appropriate documentation. You will ensure that all assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses are correctly recorded in their respective General Ledger accounts.
Additionally, the role requires analyzing employee-related policies and procedures to identify any procedural gaps or instances of non-compliance. Conducting pre-audit reviews of purchase orders to verify compliance with relevant policies and procedures is also a key responsibility.
Maintaining thorough and professional documentation of all audit activities is crucial, utilizing appropriate tools, techniques, and best practices to support audit findings. You will be expected to identify and report audit issues promptly and accurately to facilitate timely resolution and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of relevant audit experience is essential to effectively perform the duties of this position.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lahore, New Garden Town. The salary range for this role is Rs40,000 to Rs45,000 per month.
