Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare coordination team based in Karachi. This role plays a vital part in supporting patient care within a US-based healthcare setting by conducting clinical assessments, analyzing patient data, and maintaining direct communication with patients. The position requires working onsite with fixed hours from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with weekends off. Key Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for conducting structured assessments to evaluate symptoms of depression, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines. You will perform cognitive assessments to identify any impairments and manage medication reviews aimed at optimizing patients’ current treatment plans. A critical part of the role involves thorough analysis of patient profiles and assessment data using specific clinical criteria to support accurate healthcare decisions.
Communication is key in this position. You will make outbound calls to relay assessment findings and care recommendations to patients clearly and compassionately. Additionally, handling inbound calls to address patient inquiries, provide guidance, and ensure patients fully understand their care plans is essential to the role.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have between 2 to 5 years of experience working in a US healthcare environment, preferably in roles involving clinical assessments, durable medical equipment (DME), or patient coordination. A strong understanding of depression, cognitive assessments, and medication management is necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, particularly for discussing sensitive health-related topics with patients. Proficiency in reviewing patient profiles and accurately interpreting clinical data is essential. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems will be considered an advantage.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
