ODOO Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated ODOO Software Developer with 2 to 4 years of professional experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our software products and services. This role involves active participation in all phases of software development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions and maintaining efficient technical operations.

Key Responsibilities
You will lead and contribute to various development projects focused on our products and services. A critical part of your role will be to identify and implement improvements in the software development process to boost overall quality and efficiency. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues, critical bugs, and architectural challenges to ensure system stability.

Your responsibilities include designing and developing ODOO applications, which involves creating new modules and customizing existing ones to meet specific business needs. You will analyze scope documents thoroughly to understand project requirements and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to produce detailed low-level requirement documents.

Adherence to software development best practices is essential to maintain code readability and long-term maintainability. You will leverage existing ODOO features wherever possible to meet project goals efficiently and develop custom modules tailored to unique domain requirements. Managing source code through Git version control and implementing secure software development practices throughout the development lifecycle are also key aspects of this role.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in Python programming and a solid grasp of fundamental programming concepts. A deep understanding of ODOO’s core workflows and data models is essential, along with proven experience in developing custom modules within the ODOO framework.

Techno-functional knowledge of ODOO, including familiarity with its latest versions, is required. You should possess excellent debugging skills specific to ODOO environments and have experience migrating ODOO installations from older versions to newer releases.

A comprehensive knowledge of key ODOO modules such as Sales, Purchase, CRM, Accounts, Inventory, Projects, Timesheet, and HR is necessary. Proficiency in ODOO front-end technologies, including XML and JavaScript, is expected. Strong command of PostgreSQL with the ability to write and optimize SQL queries is also required.

Experience with view customization involving Widgets, Wizards, JavaScript, and XML views is important. You should be capable of creating Q-Web reports within ODOO and skilled in data import processes using both ODOO’s native import tools and custom Python scripts. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems are also essential.
