Junior WordPress Developer

We are looking for a motivated WordPress Developer to join our team on a full-time, in-person basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational understanding of WordPress core architecture and the admin dashboard, along with practical experience in theme customization and plugin management. This role demands a proactive professional who can troubleshoot issues, maintain site security, and ensure optimal website performance by applying best practices in design and SEO.

Key Responsibilities

Customize and manage WordPress themes, including working with child themes and performing basic PHP edits. Install, configure, and troubleshoot plugins to enhance website functionality. Utilize popular page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg to create and modify site layouts. Set up and manage menus, widgets, and shortcodes to improve site navigation and overall user experience. Perform site backups and migrations using tools like All-in-One WP Migration or Duplicator. Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility across all web pages. Maintain WordPress security by applying updates and adhering to best practices. Apply basic SEO principles to improve website visibility and search engine ranking.

Required Qualifications

A basic understanding of WordPress core architecture and the admin dashboard is essential. Experience with WordPress themes and fundamental theme customization is required. Familiarity with popular page builders including Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg is necessary. Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript/jQuery is expected. Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins is important. Understanding of child themes and basic PHP for theme editing is needed. Familiarity with the WordPress template hierarchy is required. Experience managing menus, widgets, and shortcodes is essential. Basic knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility is expected. Understanding of WordPress security essentials and update procedures is necessary.
