We are looking for a high achiever who can spot trends, create new opportunities and bring innovation in supply chain management.
- Collaborate with the import operations team to gather data from various sources including Customs, ERP systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Clean, validate, and transform data to ensure accuracy and consistency for further analysis.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide insights into import performance, inventory levels, lead times, and related metrics.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within the data to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to import operations and highlight any deviations from established benchmarks.
- Assist in forecasting demand and inventory needs based on historical data analysis.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize inventory levels, order quantities, and lead times to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless import operations.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements to suggest process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Manage the entire import process, from order placement to final delivery, while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other partners to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays or issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of import documentation, customs declarations, and compliance-related paperwork.
- Coordinate with sales teams to ensure timely availability of goods and materials for production and distribution.
- Optimize inventory levels by forecasting demand, managing lead times, and coordinating reorder points.
- Stay informed about changes in import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements that could impact operations.
