The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the outdoor advertising agency, ensuring the efficient execution of advertising campaigns, and maintaining high-quality service delivery. This role involves managing installations, logistics, vendor relationships, compliance, and team coordination to ensure all projects meet client expectations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Operations & Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of outdoor advertising campaigns, including billboards, transit ads, street furniture, and digital displays.
  • Ensure timely installation and maintenance of advertising assets.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of advertising sites and address any operational challenges.

2. Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Manage and supervise installation teams, field crews, and maintenance staff.
  • Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conduct training and development programs to improve team performance and adherence to safety standards.

3. Vendor & Supplier Management:

  • Coordinate with printing vendors, material suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality production and timely delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external partners.

4. Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all outdoor advertising installations comply with local government regulations, zoning laws, and safety standards.
  • Maintain permits, licenses, and other legal documentation related to advertising placements.
  • Implement safety protocols for on-site workers.

5. Budget & Cost Control:

  • Monitor operational budgets and optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Approve expenditures related to advertising site maintenance, installation, and logistics.

6. Client & Stakeholder Communication:

  • Work closely with the sales and creative teams to ensure seamless execution of client campaigns.
  • Address operational concerns from clients and provide solutions to enhance service satisfaction.

7. Technology & Innovation:

  • Stay updated on the latest outdoor advertising technologies and trends.
  • Implement new tools and software to enhance operational efficiency and campaign tracking.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, preferably in outdoor advertising or media.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of advertising regulations, site permits, and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Experience with digital outdoor advertising technologies.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for site selection.

Work Environment & Conditions:

  • Combination of office and fieldwork; may require travel to advertising sites.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends for urgent project execution.
