Laravel Web Application Developer

We are looking for a talented PHP/Laravel developer to join our team working night shifts from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced, modular web applications using the Laravel framework. This role requires close collaboration with the User Experience (UX) team to build scalable and innovative applications that provide seamless user experiences. Additionally, the developer will integrate AI modules such as ChatGPT or similar natural language processing (NLP) models into backend workflows and user-facing features. The position demands writing high-quality, reusable code while following best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modular web-based PHP applications using the Laravel framework.
- Work closely with the UX team to create scalable, user-friendly applications.
- Ensure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code is valid, reusable, and consistent across projects.
- Develop applications with a modular architecture to facilitate easy integration and maintainability.
- Integrate and maintain AI modules like ChatGPT or similar NLP tools within backend workflows and user interfaces.
- Utilize standard development tools and best practices to prepare and maintain applications efficiently.
- Enhance existing backend data services and REST APIs to ensure smooth integration with AI-driven features.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Communicate progress, technical challenges, risks, and improvement suggestions clearly with stakeholders.
- Document development processes, architectural decisions, and reusable components thoroughly.
- Coordinate with co-developers, AI engineers, and project managers, acting as a bridge between technical teams and management.

Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a PHP/Laravel developer, with a strong focus on modular application design.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Proven experience designing and developing scalable modular architectures and microservices.
- Hands-on experience in SQL schema design, query optimization, and REST API development.
- Familiarity with software testing frameworks such as PHPUnit, PHPSpec, or Behat.
- Practical knowledge of MySQL profiling and query performance tuning.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of tasks through to completion.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience integrating AI or NLP modules (e.g., ChatGPT APIs or similar) into backend systems is highly desirable.
- This is a full-time, in-person position offering a monthly salary range of Rs 60,000 to Rs 100,000.
