Farm Manager - Livestock

We are looking for an experienced Farm Manager to oversee all operations of our cattle feedlot fattening farm. The ideal candidate should have expertise in livestock management, procurement, nutrition, health, and farm operations to ensure profitability, efficiency, and high animal welfare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Animal Procurement: Source and purchase cattle that meet feedlot standards for optimal growth and profitability.
Farm Operations: Manage daily activities, cattle movement, and farm infrastructure.
Animal Health: Monitor herd health, implement biosecurity measures, and coordinate with veterinarians.
Nutrition & Feeding: Develop feeding programs, manage feed procurement, and optimize weight gain.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise farm workers to ensure smooth operations.
Financial & Business Management: Manage budgets, expenses, and farm profitability.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain farm safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, UVAS Graduate (preferred)
3+ years of experience in cattle feedlot management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of cattle procurement, nutrition, disease prevention, and farm operations.
Experience in budgeting, cost control, and farm efficiency improvements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
