Operation and Monitoring:
- Operate and monitor generator systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Start and stop generators as required to meet power demands.
- Monitor gauges, meters, and control systems to track generator performance.
- Record operational data such as voltage, frequency, and fuel levels.
Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant level checks.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential mechanical issues.
- Test backup systems and components to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose and resolve issues with generators, electrical circuits, and control systems.
- Replace faulty components and liaise with technicians for major repairs.
- Maintain a stock of spare parts and tools for emergency repairs.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and operational regulations.
- Maintain logs of maintenance activities and compliance inspections.
Fuel Management:
- Monitor fuel levels and arrange refueling when needed.
- Inspect fuel systems for leaks or contamination.
Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to power outages or system alarms to restore service.
- Conduct load testing to verify generator capacity during emergencies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and incidents.
- Generate reports on generator performance and submit them to supervisors.
