- Develop and implement horticultural strategies to enhance landscapes and green spaces.
- Plan and oversee projects such as garden installations, urban forestry, and sustainable farming initiatives.
- Create annual budgets and allocate resources effectively.
Operational Oversight
- Manage daily horticulture operations, including planting, irrigation, pruning, and pest control.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Procure plants, tools, and equipment needed for horticultural projects.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage horticulture staff, including gardeners, technicians, and specialists.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure productivity and quality.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Sustainability and Innovation
- Implement eco-friendly practices, such as water conservation and organic farming techniques.
- Research and introduce new plant varieties, fertilizers, and technologies.
- Develop strategies for combating climate change and other environmental challenges.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with clients, government agencies, contractors, and community organizations.
- Provide expert advice on horticultural design and maintenance.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Conduct regular inspections to assess plant health and project progress.
- Analyze soil quality, pest issues, and climate impact on horticulture programs.
- Maintain records of plants, expenses, and project milestones.
