Freight Forwarding Expert

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Expert with 1-3 years of experience in the ocean freight and logistics import/export industry. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of CY/CY, intermodal, drayage, and CY/door shipping operations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the entire shipping process for assigned shipments.
Track, trace, and update shipment statuses daily.
Input and maintain accurate shipment details using MS Excel, company systems, and cloud-based files.
Ensure timely and precise data entry in CRM systems.
Handle clearing documentation, including AES, ISF, and Customs Entry.
Stay updated on domestic and international shipping norms and processes.
Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues through emails, phone calls, and verbal interactions.
Prepare and review shipping documents before customer dispatch.
Monitor daily reports to ensure timely updates and resolutions.
Accurately bill customers and meet key performance indicators.
Continuously seek process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Protect the confidentiality of customer and company information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding.
Proficiency in shipping documentation and processes.
Strong working knowledge of shipping portals and CRM systems.
Familiarity with industry standards for domestic and international freight.
Excellent organizational, follow-up, and email communication skills.

Education:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
