The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing clients and promoting Our Company. The role involves proactive sales, strategic planning and collaboration with operations to ensure customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities in freight forwarding (Air & Sea).
Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking and industry events.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations and proposals.
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of client requirements.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic planning.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status and client interactions.
Prepare regular reports for management on sales performance and forecasts.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in business development or sales within the freight forwarding/logistics industry.
Proven ability to generate leads and close deals.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new client accounts.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work independently.
