We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a VAT Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation and filing of VAT (Value Added Tax) returns for our organization. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of VAT regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

VAT Compliance Management: Oversee the complete process of VAT compliance, including the preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns in accordance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Monitor changes in VAT legislation and update internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with new requirements.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data and transactions to ensure accurate VAT reporting. Generate detailed reports and summaries to support decision-making and compliance efforts.

Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with various departments to obtain necessary information for VAT compliance, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. Communicate effectively with tax authorities and respond to inquiries or requests related to VAT compliance.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize VAT compliance processes, proposing and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Audit Support: Assist in VAT audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries in a timely and organized manner.

Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions for relevant teams to enhance understanding of VAT compliance requirements and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in VAT compliance, tax accounting, or a similar role.

  • In-depth knowledge of VAT laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
