Accountant

We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Accountant to lead our Accounts & Finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing critical financial insights to support our business growth. This is a key leadership role requiring strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proven experience in managing a team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Prepare all aspects of billing, invoicing, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Manage vendor payments and client receivables efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
Maintain and manage the accounting software (Peachtree) diligently, ensuring proper data entry and accurate record-keeping.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Minimum B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) or equivalent. Higher qualifications (e.g., M.Com, ACCA, CA Inter/Finalist) will be a significant advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role.
Software Proficiency: Proven expertise in using accounting software, particularly Peachtree.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage an accounting team.
