We are looking for a committed Pakistan Studies teacher to educate higher secondary students (Grades XI–XII or equivalent) on the historical, cultural, political, and geographical development of Pakistan. The role requires delivering well-structured lessons aligned with national or international curricula to prepare students effectively for board or external examinations. The successful candidate will encourage critical thinking, foster active classroom participation, and support students’ academic progress through ongoing assessments and enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Implementation:
Conduct engaging and comprehensive lessons in Pakistan Studies following the National Curriculum or international syllabi such as Cambridge O-Level/A-Level. Prepare detailed lesson plans, classroom resources, and visual aids to facilitate learning. Promote critical analysis of Pakistan’s significant historical events, political ideologies, governance structures, and regional issues.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Design, administer, and evaluate class tests, internal exams, and board exam practice papers. Keep accurate records of student performance and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Guide students in their preparation for final board or external examinations.
Classroom & Behavior Management:
Maintain a disciplined, respectful, and interactive classroom environment. Encourage student engagement through discussions, debates, and presentations to deepen understanding and participation.
Enrichment Activities:
Organize or support school events such as Independence Day, Pakistan Day, and debate competitions. Motivate students to explore the subject beyond the classroom through projects and community-based learning initiatives.
Continuous Professional Development:
Participate actively in training sessions, subject-specific workshops, and departmental meetings. Stay updated on current national and geopolitical developments related to Pakistan Studies to ensure relevant and contemporary teaching content.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Pakistan Studies, History, Political Science, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or M.Ed. preferred, particularly for candidates teaching in national curriculum schools.
Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of teaching experience at the intermediate or A-Level stage.
- Familiarity with examination boards such as FBISE, provincial boards (BISE), or international boards like Cambridge.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Pakistan’s history, geography, and political framework.
- Ability to engage students with current affairs and contemporary national issues.
- Excellent communication skills in both Urdu and English.
- Proficiency in using teaching aids, multimedia tools, and educational technology.
