Ultrasonic Termite Detector using Acoustic Emission Technology

Our present study is aimed to develop a modern gadget known as “termite detector .The methodology we used in the making of this gadget is ultrasonic technique using acoustic emission technology. Basically termites are such type of insects which emit acoustic emissions whenever feeding events takes place. The basic input of this gadget is ultrasound of specific range on which termite is detected. We are supposed to do this project (termite detector) to prevent the huge amount of economic losses created by termite by keeping in view that termite detector protects underground transmission cables from termite activity, termite detector protects our houses/property from serious destruction caused by termites and termite detector protects enormous plants from damage by earlier indication of termite presence. The basic aim of our project is to make it at very low cost because it is really expensive gadget, to fulfill the need of zoology department of LCWU (Lahore college for women university), to provide an insect detection system which detects termites by detecting ultrasonic signals caused by termite feeding on material, to prevent from huge losses created by termites.
