Overall purpose of the role:

The Gender Based Violence Response filed officer oversees the design, implementation and monitoring of the Gender Based Violence Response project. The position entails technical oversight to ensure that response activities are effective and tailored to the context and learning needs of the audience. In addition, the post holder supervises GBV response services in hopes of enhancing the quality of care provided to Gender Based Violence survivors. The team leader is considered a deputy manager and therefore, also holds the responsibility to monitor that activity indicators and budget expenditure remains on track.

Role and responsibilities :
Mission 1: To ensure team management & planning·       

Supervision and management of the field team constituted by, technical monitors, surveyors, data entry staff and casual workers.
        Planning of daily, weekly, and monthly activities contribute to annual and long term planning.    
Ensure a participatory approach in developing workplan.
      Participation in the technical evaluation of the staff's performance, to identify needs for training and to improve consequently the quality of the performance.
       Development of the assessment tools.

Mission 2 : To facilitate activities implementation & logistics arrangements

   To facilitate the smooth and timely implementation of Food distribution project and ensure that beneficiaries are Recieving the right quantities.
    Management of the forecasting and the delivery of the equipments/materials needed on the field, in good collaboration with the logistic department.
    Follow developed SOPs/ activity scope document for the implementation of project interventions
     Facilitate field team in conflict resolution at field level.
    Ensure all standards for the food distribution are followed.

Mission 3 : To monitor and evaluate project activities
·   To support and ensure that the monitoring and analyze the impact of the different programs for economic support Cash Based Intervention (CBI): CFW, CCG, CFV, IGA (collection of testimonies, case studies and village profile)

Maintain records of the technical implementation in electronic form, if required.
 Sharing of findings with DPM/PM
 Participate to debriefing with PM

Mission 4: To ensure document review and reporting

 Ensure documentation review with the developed checklist.

Weekly reporting of project activity progress

Assist the data analyst in data analysis of collected data
 Review of all soft data
  Share information on need arrises in the project location for recovery phase

Mission 5 : Ensure compliance with ACFs gender equality, child protection sensitivity and Safeguarding
·        Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender, Child Protection and other safeguarding policies  
·        Implement all work related activities with a gender, inclusion and child protection lens

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate,facilitate with technical sttaf responsible for construction of water & senitation structures in the target areas to include hygiene aspect in design and site selection construction activities.

Responsible for monitoring the impact of the project activities,help and support decision making and promote learning through doucemation best  practice and follow up of necessary adjustment.
Coordinate the FSL activities according to strategy,as well as a based on proposal,plans.
Ensure adherence to policies and donor requirements.

Objective _1:Supervise the activities of CMAM,IYCF protocols

supervise the activities of the CMAM team

Work closely with the team to ensure all children are screened correctly.
Ensure all criteria respected and  understood by teams including admission ,discharge and transfer to and from the OTP/SFP.
Ensure comprehensive health checks and treatment the according to the protocols.
Ensure correct clinical diagnosis at the time of assessment so that the patient receive appropriate treatment in the relevant programs.
Timely identification of complications,non respond er and referral to the SC.
Ensure adequate availability of all medical and food supplies.
Through liaison with the community mobilizer and nutrition volunteer,provide effective follow up all Cases.

Objective_2:Supervise madicines administration in OTP activities

Follow up all respect the current protocols specially drug Administration eh for Dr worming,malaria,polio and measles,micronutrient mineral,vitamin A supplement targeting children and PLWs.
Add the activities linked to health and nutrition eduction in the protocols.
Follow up the treatment of CMAM beneficiaries during visits at home.
Participate in the follow up of orders and consumption.
Analysis the nutritional situation.

Objective_3: Network and coordinate with the relevant sectors

Establish good relationship with talkua ,Union council authorities and community leaders.
Establish network with other main person in the working areas.
Establish a good understanding of program within the community.

Conduct assessment of banifiaries,WASH schemes.
Identification ,singn TOR s with target communities and line departments.
Supervise and facilitate trained community activist in health and hygiene promotion session.
Conduct training of selected community activities and students on health & hygiene promotion to enable them to conduct onward session to target communities.
Conduct health & hygiene session in communites and school to ensure that target population area mobilized and adequately informed regarding health and hygiene issues related to water and senitation and solid waste disposal.

Area of Expertise

Implement the emergency nutrition response including treatment of severely malnourished _five's while following the stipulated protocol.
Implement and supervise the supplementary feeding of the moderately malnourished under _fives,pregnant/ lactating mothers,individuals with medical conditions (HIV,AIDS & TB).
Ensure the blanket supplementary feeding program (BSFP) activities are implemented successfully.
Implement comprehensive maternal infant and young child nutrition program (MIYCN) baby friendly community intivitive (BFCI) approaches.

Responsibilities:

Perorm appropriate assessment of IYCF  needs and malpractices and do analysis and come up with clear recommendations.
Develop action plan to improve IYCF pritices as per national guidance for the nutrition teams .
Build the capacity of outreach supervisor and community resources person on the community IYCF  counseling techniques.
Ensure  formation of the  mother support group(MSG) at the community level ( in each village).
Identify model mothers and explore their best experience and relipcate the best experience in order to improve IYCF pratices within the community.
Ensure setting up to breast feeding corners at each OTP/SFP sittes established or supported at  health facilities.
Provide appropriate counseling for PLW,care takers of OTP/SFP beneficiaries and mother group on breast feeding ,complementary feeding and maternal and child nutrition.
Identify/develop appropriate IEC materials, flash cards, display picture and ensure that the material are used during each counseling.
develop weekly and monthly plan towards accomplishment of the work plan and monitor the plan accordingly.
Doucement case studies regularly and share to the team member and to OTP supervisor.
