<p>Ababeel is a reforestaion dron.These days the arising conditions due to deforestation are alarming as it has resulted in loss of biodiversity, global warming, and loss of natural resources and in food insecurity. But the solution to the problem is yet simpler that is to plant trees.  Nevertheless as in our society the technology advancement shows the progress of our own lifestyle.  Therefore to combat the problem and implement its solution to in a more effective and efficient way we will use the drone technology. [1]</p> <p>The purpose of our project is to design a motor controlled drone that is capable of dispersing seeds in different regions on the earth with the potential for reforestation. The project is divided into three major parts a hex copter; a computer controlled seed dispenser gun and software that would control the seed dispenser, design a mission trajectory through GPS coordinates and would control the movements and communication of drone with the operator at ground station via mobile app.</p> <p>The hex copter would be designed to carry weight of the other hardware components. The hex copter would be equipped with a multispectral camera that would take visual data and would create a 3D map and with a seed dispenser that would dispense seed into the ground from certain height. </p> <p>The seed dispenser would consist of a container to store seeds and would have a controlled mechanism for dispersing them. This motor would regulate their flow and would be designed as such to fit into the hex copter.</p> <p>Multispectral camera attached to the drone would also be used to capture images of the land under evaluation. Those images would then be analyzed to identify the vegetation, barren land and the water body areas. Moreover digital image processing of the soil images from the camera would be done to examine the fertility of the soil. Also the images of the remote area would be captured by the camera and would be used to provide 3D map of the area for monitoring purposes.</p> <p>Reforestation by Drone results in faster growth and higher survival rate as compared with natural regeneration. There were many challenges during the construction of the hexcopter. Our hexcopter must be in order and compatible to make better flights and perform different tests. During the flight sometimes the weather was not our good ally. </p>
