I have worked on secondment in the Assurance department of a leading accountancy firm of Oman. I have been associated with many professional engagements.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assurance engagement planning based on understanding of the entity, assessment of business and related audit risks; • Independently planning, execution and completion of audit engagements; • Coordination with the manager and partner to establish and define the extent of planned audit procedures and to update the same as the audit progresses; • Liaison with client's management and communication of relevant matters to persons at an appropriate level of responsibility; • Consultation on significant matters with various professionals such as lawyers, tax advisors, actuaries and IT experts; • Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local corporate laws and directives of regulatory authorities; • Establishing positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members, clients and other stakeholders; and
• Preparation of final audit deliverables – financial statements, audit report, Board of Directors letter and management letter.
