The preparatory program (for students who failed Aman Tech entrance test) provided a chance to bring about a significant positive change in young person’s lives. Students coming out of the 10th grade from low standard private schools as well as government schools of Karachi City have very low Mathematics and English competency. Apart from the normal expected outcomes, it was learned that academically weak student would rather not own his weakness and rather keep quiet and suffer the consequences of academic weakness. The Preparatory program reached out to 250 students over a period of 9 months.

When i joined AmanTech I was surprised to learn that English classes started at 8 AM and continued till 9 PM on weekdays. On weekends, classes started at 9 AM and continued till 5 PM. English was conducted in pair sessions. So there were over 100 sessions per week, for which I had to think out of the box I hired visiting faculty.
Frowned upon at first it became a norm.
So while I had three (3) full-time instructors, who took ONLY 30 sessions /week the rest of the 70 sessions were taken by visiting faculty at my convenience.
This was a major hurdle before i took over, as the permanent staff was raking in at double time. The reduced costs helped me launch ESOL, English for Speakers of Other Languages, a course designed by Cambridge experts.
