Activities performed:
On behalf of the Employer, the consultant responsible as representative of the Employer for monitoring and supervision of the implementation, administration of the Contract and for the verification of works and services to be performed by the contracting entity for the Civil and management works. The Consultant in charge of
Design Review of highway pavement Engineering.
Check and approve Contractor’s Guarantees and Insurance
Supervised and approved the Contractor’s work program and preparation for the works;
Reviewed and verified specifications and quantities;
Follow up the day-to-day activities of the contractor;
Perform regularly on-site technical inspection;
check that contractor use all safety and environmental measures, as set out in the contract documents;
Identified construction problems, defects or deficiencies and proposed remedial measures;
Program, supervise, direct and control work of supervisory team,
Ensure that any working drawings furnished by Contractor receive approval by assisting the professionals of the supervisory team;
Review & verify monthly computations & measurement of quantities introduced into project as prepared and submitted by Contractor for completed works;
Verify works and issuance of certificates of completion;
Evaluation of Contractor’s claims.
Inspection during the defect liability period.
Ensure that all materials intended for inclusion in the works are of acceptable quality and to review order for materials placed by the Contractor are in accordance with the Contract Specification; Preparation of monthly reports
Recommend changes or modifications in plans and/or designs to the client, if such changes or modifications are thought to be in the interest of the Client;
Approve bill of quantities.
