In the receiver unit, a potential transformer is used to measure and step down the voltage in the power line. A current transformer is used to measure the current consumed by the customer and fed to Arduino for power calculations. Arduino receives the two quantities and runs power analytics to calculate, power factor, the total electrical energy consumed, and real-time bill accordingly. In the transmission unit, the Arduino sends the data to the internet using the Nodemcu module. A mobile application is designed which is interfaced with Nodemcu. The app will store information for monitoring and controlling of smart energy meter. It shows the consumed energy and total bill which is updated continuously to provide real-time data. Moreover, it will also transmit the information to another Arduino to check for power theft. </li> </ul> </li> </ul></div>
