A dedicated and poised person having the ability to think outside the box. I have master and bachelors degrees in Soil and Environmental Sciences. I did research in the areas of ground water quality, subsurface nanoparticles facilitated transport of contaminants, heavy metals in soil, water and plants, soil microbial activity and nitrogen mineralization. I want to be a good researcher in my field.
I worked on subsurface colloids-facilitated transport of contaminants in column transport experiments. I performed experiments of batch adsorption and columns transport in saturated porous media. I gained experience of Iron oxyhydroxide colloids preparation and their characterization using different
instruments such as Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy, and Zetasizer. Examining phosphate transport in the presence of iron colloids using sand as a porous media in column transport experiments. Use of transport models for assessing the subsurface contaminants transport. Use of UV-visible spectrophotometer for measuring the concentration of Phosphorus and different iron colloids. I was involved in analyzing, processing data, and manuscript writing.
