The District Field Officer assists the Regional Coordinator RC in planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and reporting TB Program (Public Private Mix PPM) related all activities. Conducting chest camps and broad based community meetings to raise awareness about TB. Maintains close working relationship with health department, DHO, TBC, government authorities, private doctors and civil society as applicable, and focuses on achieving project objectives and indicators and maintains all documents related to the field activities. Conducting awareness training sessions & TB chest Camps in rural &urban areas.

Locations: Mansehra, Uppar Dir, Bannu, Lacky Marwat & Karak To oversee and ensure the quality of the data collection for the 2017 Mid Line & 2020 End Line Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA). USAID/Pakistan is funding two large projects, the Pakistan Reading Project (PRP) and Sindh Reading Program (SRP), to improve early grade reading in public primary schools throughout Pakistan, except for Punjab province. A baseline EGRA was conducted in 2014, prior to the start of USAID/Pakistan project interventions. The 2017 & 2020 both Mid & End line evaluations will provide evidence of progress made in student test scores following the commencement of project activities in 2015..
Ø Leading field team in overall planning, managing & implementation of MSI activities
Ø Providing technical support to enumerators in data collection, establish and manage relationships with government officials and school administrators.
Ø Providing training sessions on standardized administration of EGRA tools and survey questionnaires.
Ø To serve as a master trainer to lead a training of enumerators and field supervisors on standardized administration of EGRA tools and survey questionnaires.
Ø Oversee and help to organize the field administration of the operational tools.
Ø Ensure compliance with standardized procedures and protocols for the administration of the EGRA tool and the survey questionnaires.
Ø Serve as the contacts and point persons for EGRA’s technical staff during data collection.
Ø Prepare regular report updates.
Ø Leading debriefing meetings of enumerators & field supervisors to provide them technical inputs on each day field activities
Ø Making recommendations on improving the assessment activities & preparing daily field reports
The primary focus of this position is to plan, implement, review, evaluate and report the assigned deliverables (Deworming Program by National & Provincial Health Deptt) in Uppar, Lower and Kolai Palas districts of Kohistan. Representing IRD at district, provincial and national forums and coordination units, is another key responsibility. Additionally, to manage all projects, teams, offices and assets of IRD at district’s level is prime responsibility.
Ø Coordination with District Management Committee (DMC) for the implementation of Mass Drug Activation (MDA)
Ø Ensure smooth execution of teachers trainings, health staff trainings and drug management on deworming program /campaigns
Ø Coordination & liaison with local communities & govt stakeholders to sensitize and disseminate deworming messages effectively in line with provincial govt guidelines
Ø Coordination, assistance and monitoring district government on drug storage & its distribution to training venues timely
Ø Supervising internal meetings on regular basis to provide project updates and share relevant information with line manager.

Role & Background:
In order to assess & evaluate 260 million pounds KESP, conducting various studies in public & private schools of KPK including School Panel Survey, EEF Voucher Programs, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) & local Government Study, for this:
Ø To use various assessment tools to evaluate different sectors of KESP program
Ø Administer a Wealth Ranking Instrument (WRI) to selected students of various grades
Ø Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KII) with principals / head teachers of schools
Ø Conduct Data Generation Workshops (DGW) with teachers, students and parents
Ø Conduct Data Generation Workshops with PTCs / SMCs & village elders,
Ø Conduct Structured Classroom Observations (CLO) of two classes in each school
Ø Writing up field notes of interviews and data generation workshop discussions
Ø Transmitting wealth ranking and classroom observation data via tablets to the team’s data analyst

Identification of vulnerable children with the help of local volunteers and activists for sponsorship
Organizing & conducting training/ sessions for community elders, PTC & CO on child rights & child protection, importance of education and dropout & enrollment
Ø Monitoring orphans’ housing, education, health (hygiene, sanitation, and nutrition), and their family’s financial status by visiting at their homes and schools twice a year.
Ø Organizing and managing different events, walks/campaigns with the help of Education Officials, Cos teachers, volunteers on child education, enrollment & dropout and child rights & protection.
Ø Ensuring Quality education of sponsored children and their siblings
Monitoring education performance through schools visits & holding meetings with PTC & Orphan Guardian Groups.
Ø Formation & providing trainings to community based child groups to work together on child education, dropout, child rights & protection as well as advocacy & linkages development.
Ø Ensure maintaining and updating of financial and compliance records of orphan’s quarterly disbursement
Ø Arrangements of in-kind disbursement to orphans keeping in view of their specific needs
Ø Ensure effective communication with donors, FRP, HQ and country management on day to day matters for the smooth running of the program
Ø Ensure team grievances and disciplinary matters are fairly dealt with in compliance of Islamic Relief policy and code of conduct

Ø To conduct PTC (Parent Teachers Council) formation sessions at village level and conduct regular and monthly meetings with each PTC.
Ø Organize district & union council level seminars for general public and students on current issues on education i.e. promoting women education, child rights & protection
Ø Organize workshop for PTC members to analyze advocacy issues in education, developing and implementing advocacy plans on school related issues.
Ø Strong coordination & liaison closely with district education department, partner NGOs, government line Agencies, CBO, parents service providers for the successful & sustainability of the project.
Ø Facilitate and support Project Manager and field staff in the implementation of project through participatory approaches
Ø Development of quality case studies of successful Schools/PTC and sharing with donors
Ø Support Project Manager to provide social mobilization inputs during the formulation of yearly plan of operation (YPO) and inputs in annual experience sharing workshop
Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures
Ø Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
Ø Recommend further improvement of the logical frame work;
Ø Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the project success;
Ø Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
Ø Develop trackers to evaluate progress ensuring sustainability of the project's results;
Ø Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks;
Ø Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Project Manager;

Ø To provide such schools with i.e. school tents, child recreational & first aid kits with the collaboration of UNICEF through SIB Project (School in a Box) to more than 600 schools of District Mansehra.
Ø Organizing trainings with the facilitation of Education Department on revamping & reactivation of Parents Teachers Association (PTA) at circle level.
