FESCO Distributes and supplies electricity to about 3.69 million customers within its territory with a population over 22 million under a Distribution License granted by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) pursuant to the Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power Act, 1997 (NEPRA Act). i was in the audit team of external audit for 2013 audit of FESCO. I was given the task to conduct the audit of a DMO office, Grid construction system ( GCS ), cash and bank of finance director office, Asian development bank loans. I performed the substantive procedures for payroll , cash and bank , expenses, stocks, property plant and equipment's for DMO and GCS. For cash and bank of fiance director i circulate the confirmation for all bank accounts, cross match the balances as per the general ledger and bank statements and ask for bank reconciliation statements, verify the reconciling items by marking the subsequent position of reconciling items. For ADB loans i translate all loans into PKR and calculate the exchange gain loss and verify the loans from bank statements , agreements and confirmation.

I prepares the predictive consumption as per agreement of local supplier and Westpoint homes and then compares that predictive with actual consumption that was calculated on the basis of actual stock lying in the books of local supplier.
