Miss Uroosa Anwar holds a master's degree in political science (Social Science) from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Federal Urdu University, awarded in 2019. She has gained practical experience through internships in social development, capacity building, project monitoring and supervision in the public and private sectors. Her expertise is in community development projects in remote areas of Sindh, Pakistan, focusing on the social sector, primary healthcare, health and hygiene promotion, social mobilization, and water & sanitation. Additionally, she excels in program management, monitoring and evaluation, including project cycle management, appraisals, and modern evaluation techniques. She also has demonstrated skill in effectively engaging with beneficiary communities, line departments, and stakeholders.
Monitoring program implementation, reviewing program-related documents, and making sure that all program activities are in compliance with funding agreements. Furthermore, the role may involve coordinating with funding agencies and providing updates on program progress, as well as addressing any challenges that may come up.
To collect and analyse data to evaluate program success and make necessary adjustments. Ensuring quality education in schools through supervision and monitoring of staff and schools Conduct TNA activities of the education staff, analyse it and forward it to the HO/PM Education for capacity building of staff.
Additionally, the role may require working closely with program staff and management to develop and implement recommendations for program adjustments or revamping, and providing expert advice on how to execute these change.
This position will be responsible for managing, scheduling, and following up on all meetings (weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews). This may include tasks such as creating agendas, reserving meeting spaces, sending out meeting invitations, and keeping track of participants. The role may also involve taking minutes during meetings, ensuring that action items are assigned and followed up on, and providing updates on meeting outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
Additionally, the role may include generating reports, interpreting data, and providing data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
Provide necessary field-based information updates to meet requirements of the Communications, Donor Care and Fundraising teams. Ensure the documentation and reports as per donors’ requirements on prescribed formats within agreed time lines. Develop an M&E Plan for every new project in coordination with the project officer and get it approved by the immediate supervisor and the MEAL Manager; follow the M&E Plan.
Carry out regular and routine field monitoring of program activities and produce monitoring visit reports on the given format; conduct debrief sessions with relevant program staff and develop an agreed action plan; and report to the MEAL Manager and Base MEAL Officer.
Linkages and networking with organizations, institutional donors, government, and corporate sector to exploit the available opportunities and visibility of the work.
Liaison with the Head office for available funding opportunities, allocations, reporting, and other day-to-day work.
Partners’ proposals, Contractors' bids, and community requests are assessed as per developed criteria and guidelines, and thoroughly monitored the agreements signed to ensure the execution as per agreement.
To track the achievements/progress against objectives as per deadlines and ensure Human Appeals’ visibility.
To ensure the child protection policy and other policies are followed strictly while dealing with orphans and orphan families.
Ensure on-time, professional, and appropriate correspondence to all Orphan related inquiries.
Ensure any change in the national policy is portrayed in Human Appeal’s Education & Child Protection Policy and relevant staff is made aware of the changes.
Ensure orphan payments are done timely and accurately. Maintain, update and monitor donors’ data; reactivate inactive donors. Support in organizing capacity building sessions on M&E and on AAP for implementing partners and field staff as and when needed.
Assist in ensuring accountability to affected populations framework pillars of participation, information sharing and transparency, establishing and implementing complaints and feedback mechanism and coordination, during program cycle before, during and after implementation.
Support in reviewing complaints received by beneficiaries and assist in resolving the complaints and incorporating feedback through engaging IPs, program field staff.
Liaise with call center in Islamabad to manage and respond to complaints received through the call center. Maintain and update complaints and feedback database and share periodic reports with the M&E and officer at country office.
· Participate in the social development of strategic work-plans with clear objectives and achievement benchmarks, long-term and short-term priorities, implementation plans, gender and development, community mobilization, capacity building and tools for ongoing community development process.
· Design and develop short or long-term proposals for Social Development related projects under the umbrella of my organization.
· Support team in the preparation of high quality and timely donor proposals and reports, to ensure the quality and relevance of all communications aimed for external audiences.
· Develop effective targeted programme communications and marketing activities relevant to various partner groups to showcase the impact of the work of HDF, leading to new partnerships, reinforcement of existing partnerships, and opportunities to mobilize new resources
· Work with the programme Learning and Development team, support department managers and area managers to ensure adequate support of program development and support for field
· Design and develop programs that promote beneficiary participation, capacity building, partnership, advocacy and protection and promotion of rights
· Ensure that all program interventions are in line with organization policies, donor requirements and generally accepted guidelines as set up by the Board of directors.
· By assuming the responsibility for the monitoring & evaluation of programs, assist the area managers Identifies and recommends coaches and teachers for certification, where applicable.
· To provide the facilitation to the local NGOs/ CBOs and their community organization in the need assessment of community development problems and issue-based solution.
· To identify gaps in the project implementation in the assigned community and propose solutions to Project Officer.
· To In collaboration and consultation with partners, Project Officer, the Training Officer, or Thematic Specialists implements coaches and teachers’ professional development and peer learning approaches through community of practices and/or other existing approach according to the nature of the project.
· To assist NGOs/CBOs in the proposal development for the sake of change behavior and economic development.
· To Develop and maintain relationship with the line departments and other partners/ stakeholders.
· Any other task or responsibility as assigned by the Project Manager.
