We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead data center upgrade and co-location initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed project plans, managing schedules and budgets, and coordinating efforts among various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. This role demands strong leadership to guide teams, manage risks proactively, and maintain clear communication with both internal departments and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans that include timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to drive efficient execution. Collaborate closely with internal teams such as IT and operations, as well as external vendors, to ensure alignment and seamless cooperation throughout the project lifecycle. Identify risks and potential challenges early, creating contingency plans to minimize their impact on project delivery. Regularly monitor project progress and prepare status reports for stakeholders to maintain transparency and support informed decision-making. Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within the agreed timeframe and scope. Lead and motivate project team members, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting their growth through coaching and guidance. Manage financial aspects of projects by tracking expenditures and forecasting costs to maintain budgetary control.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of five years’ experience in project management, ideally with a focus on data center upgrades and co-location projects. Strong expertise in developing and managing project plans, timelines, and budgets. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members, clients, and vendors at all levels. Proven track record in risk management, including early identification of issues and implementation of contingency measures. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience motivating and directing project teams. Proficiency in project management software and tools to facilitate tracking and reporting. Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), particularly ServiceNow.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience specifically related to data center upgrades and co-location projects is highly valued. Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) are preferred but not mandatory.
