Storekeeper

We seek a reliable and experienced Storekeeper to join our dynamic team at Rabia Trust Hospital. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a hospital setting and a strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, and procurement processes. As a Storekeeper, you will ensure the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of hospital supplies, including medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and general hospital consumables.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of all hospital supplies and inventory levels.
Ensure medical and non-medical items are properly stored to prevent damage or loss.
Monitor stock levels and proactively manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Assist in the procurement process by collaborating with the purchasing department.
Receive, inspect, and verify delivered goods and ensure they match purchase orders.
Prepare requisitions and orders for supplies based on hospital needs.
Manage the distribution of medical supplies to various hospital departments, ensuring timely delivery.
Conduct periodic stock audits and assist in physical inventory counts.
Adhere to hospital safety standards and regulations in handling all materials.
Maintain a clean and organized storage area, ensuring compliance with hygiene protocols.
Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical departments to understand their supply requirements.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience as a Storekeeper in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and stock control.
Familiarity with hospital supplies and medical equipment.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with computerized inventory systems (e.g. Oracle)
