This six-month contractual role based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, is designed for an experienced HR professional to lead investigations and manage employee relations across the cluster. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire investigation process, including conducting interviews, preparing detailed reports, and maintaining communication with stakeholders at both cluster and country levels. They will also provide advisory support to HR teams, ensuring consistent policy application and effective conflict resolution throughout the cluster.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into HR and employee relations matters, including interviewing involved parties and gathering evidence.
- Draft detailed investigation reports, recommend appropriate remedial actions, and maintain thorough documentation.
- Analyze data from various reporting tools to track case progress and identify emerging trends.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders involved in cases, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
- Independently manage assigned cases, driving investigations to prompt and conclusive closure.
- Mediate and resolve internal employee relations issues using established conflict resolution best practices.
- Design, collect, and analyze feedback from employees and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Identify patterns and opportunities for proactive risk mitigation through aggregate case data analysis.
- Collaborate closely with business partners, Corporate Employee Relations teams, Compliance, and Legal departments on complex investigations.
- Handle critical and crisis-related employee relations issues within defined timelines and service level agreements.
- Partner in reviewing and updating people programs, policies, and practices to improve effectiveness.
- Provide expert advisory support to managers and local HR teams to ensure consistent policy implementation.
- Support the development and delivery of training programs for line leaders and HR professionals on policies, employment law, and employee relations topics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, human resources, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Human Resource Manager or HR Generalist in a complex multinational environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in employment law, grievance handling, and conducting HR/commercial investigations.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
