Chief Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced, and thorough chief accountant to join our rapidly growing company. In this role, you will demonstrate your management skills and accounting expertise in a variety of personal and corporate accounting practices, including overseeing payroll and taxes. You must be highly accurate and efficient, utilizing your vast knowledge of the current tax code, upholding our standard of exceptional customer service, and, above all else, ensuring that consistent, accurate accounting services are provided to our clients daily.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the entire accounting team
Conduct all necessary training to keep the team's skills and knowledge up to date
Ensure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled
Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy
Maintain current and garner new client relationships
Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers
Detect and address potential compliance issues proactively
Maintain compliance with all provincial and federal regulations at all times
Uphold the excellent reputation of our company
Maintain highly organized and updated company files
Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals
