Truck Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Truck Dispatcher to coordinate freight dispatching for carriers. He will work closely with owner-operators and trucking companies to secure profitable loads, optimize routes, and ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple carriers effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Find and book high-paying loads for carriers using load boards and direct broker relationships.
Assign loads to drivers based on availability, route efficiency, and carrier preferences.
Negotiate freight rates with brokers and shippers to maximize profitability for carriers.
Provide real-time updates to drivers on load details, pickup/delivery times, and route changes.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delays or issues.
Maintain strong relationships with brokers, shippers, and carriers for consistent load opportunities.
Handle all necessary paperwork, including rate confirmations, BOLs, and dispatch agreements.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, carrier requirements, and industry standards.
Offer support to drivers regarding trip planning, road conditions, and any challenges they face.
Use dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, and load boards like DAT, Truckstop, and others.
