Knitting Fabric Developer / Fabric R&D Manager

We need urgent basis a knitting fabric developer / Fabric R&D manager, who creates new and innovative knitted fabrics for various applications, often working closely with designers and manufacturers. They are involved in all aspects of fabric development, from selecting yarns to designing stitch patterns and testing finished fabrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Yarn Selection:

Design and Pattern Creation:

Fabric Development:

Experimenting with different knitting techniques (weft and warp knitting), stitch types, and yarn combinations to achieve desired fabric characteristics.

Fabric Testing and Analysis:

Evaluating the physical properties of knitted fabrics (e.g., weight, thickness, elasticity, durability) to ensure they meet the required standards.

Trend Research:

Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in knitwear and fabric design.

Skills and Qualifications:

Qualification BA/BSc Textile Engineer.

8 to 10 Years’ Experience.

Knowledge of knitting techniques and machinery

Fabric and yarn knowledge:

Understanding of different fibers, yarn properties, and how they interact with knitting processes.

Technical skills:

Proficiency in areas like fabric construction, testing, and design.

Problem-solving and analytical skills:

Ability to troubleshoot issues during fabric development and analyze fabric properties.

Creativity and design sensibility:

Ability to translate design concepts into innovative knitted fabrics.
