We are seeking a female Microbiologist to oversee microbiological testing and quality control in compliance with international standards for gelatin production. The selected candidate will ensure adherence to food safety regulations, halal certification requirements, and global microbiology testing protocols to maintain product integrity and consumer safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microbiological Testing & Compliance with International Standards:
  •  Perform microbiological testing following standards:
  •  US Pharmacopeia (USP) – Microbial Enumeration Tests, Tests for Specified Microorganisms.
  • Gelatin Manufacturers Institute of America (GMIA) Official Methods.
  • European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) – Microbiological Quality of Non-Sterile Substances.
  • British Pharmacopoeia (BP) – Microbial Contamination Guidelines.
  • Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) – Microbial Limits for Food-Grade Gelatin.
  •  ISO 17025 – General requirements for laboratory testing competence.
  •  ISO 11133 – Microbiology of food, animal feed, and water preparation of culture media.
  • SO 4833 – Enumeration of microorganisms in food products.
  •  ISO 21527 – Enumeration of yeasts and molds in food and feed products.
  • ISO 21872 – Detection of Vibrio spp. in food.
  • ISO 6579 – Detection of Salmonella spp.
  • ISO 16649 – Detection and enumeration of E. coli.
  • FDA Bacteriological Analytical Manual (BAM) – Microbiological testing for food safety.

Laboratory Operations & Process Control:

  • Conduct Total Aerobic Microbial Count (TAMC), Total Yeast & Mold Count (TYMC), E. coli, and Salmonellaanalysis.
  • Monitor air, water, and surface microbial contamination in production areas.
  • Maintain environmental controls to prevent microbial contamination.
  • Validate and verify microbiological testing methods and equipment calibration.

Documentation & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure documentation meets ISO, HACCP, GMP, and Halal certification standards.
  • Maintain detailed microbiological test reports for internal audits and government inspections.
  • Prepare root cause analysis reports for microbial deviations and implement corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement & Training:

  • Collaborate with production and QA teams to enhance microbiological safety measures.
  • Stay updated on global food safety and microbiology regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions on hygiene, sanitation, and microbiological risks.
