Senior Prestashop Developer

As a Senior Prestashop Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing our Prestashop-based e-commerce platforms. You will lead complex integrations, enhance existing functionalities, and ensure high-quality, scalable code. Working closely with our design, marketing, and product teams, you will help drive our e-commerce solutions to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Development and Customization: Develop and customize Prestashop modules and themes to meet specific business requirements, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Platform Optimization: Analyze and optimize the Prestashop platform to improve site speed, user experience, and SEO.
Integrations: Lead the integration of third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, inventory management) with Prestashop, ensuring data consistency and operational efficiency.
Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers, provide code reviews, and set best practices for clean, efficient code.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a high-quality user experience.
Project Management Support: Collaborate with project managers to estimate timelines, participate in sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of features.
Quality Assurance: Conduct and oversee testing (unit, integration, and system tests) to ensure the robustness of new and existing features.

Requirements:

Experience: 5+ years of experience in web development, with a minimum of 3 years specifically working with Prestashop.

Technical Proficiency:

In-depth knowledge of Prestashop architecture, module development, and customization.
Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React) is a plus.
Familiarity with common e-commerce integrations (payment gateways, CRMs, APIs).
Understanding of database design and performance optimization.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.
Project Management Tools: Experience with tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana for task and project management.
Version Control: Proficiency in Git for source code management and version control.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous in code quality, performance, and alignment with design specifications.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Experience with agile methodologies.
Knowledge of other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify) is a plus.
Familiarity with web analytics tools and SEO best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
