We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Project Manager to oversee our fiber optic cable installation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber optic technology and project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management: Develop detailed project plans for fiber optic installation projects.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate project teams, including internal staff and external contractors.
  • Ensure clear communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Oversee project budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Monitor project expenses and make adjustments as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all aspects of the project meet high-quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Respond to unforeseen challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance on fiber optic technology, installation practices, and industry trends.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Prepare and present project reports to upper management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in fiber optic project management or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of fiber optic technology, infrastructure, and installation practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and contractors.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to visit and inspect installation sites, which may involve physical activities like standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
