Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA/Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our mobile and web applications. This role involves hands-on manual testing as well as developing and maintaining automated test suites. The ideal candidate will bring an innovative mindset, particularly in integrating AI tools into QA workflows, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product releases. Continuous improvement of testing processes and a commitment to excellence are key aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities
Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for mobile platforms (Android/iOS) and web applications. Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and UX designers to uphold and improve product quality standards. Develop scalable automated tests using industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Postman, Cypress, and Playwright. Perform regression, integration, system, performance, and UI testing across multiple platforms and browsers. Utilize AI-powered testing tools and frameworks like Testim, mabl, Applitools, and GitHub Copilot to enhance test coverage and efficiency. Continuously review and refine testing processes, including exploratory and risk-based testing strategies. Participate in requirement analysis to provide valuable QA insights. Report and track bugs clearly through resolution using tools such as Jira, Trello, or ClickUp. Analyze QA metrics to drive continuous improvement in team velocity and product quality.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in software quality assurance, covering both manual and automation testing. Proven expertise in testing mobile applications (Android/iOS) and web applications. Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright. Strong programming or scripting skills in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript to support automation development. Familiarity with REST API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured. Experience with bug tracking and test management systems, including Jira and TestRail. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Exposure to AI-driven QA tools and frameworks that enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. Effective communication skills and a proactive work approach.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is highly desirable. Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus. Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud platforms, including Docker and AWS, is beneficial. Knowledge of accessibility testing standards and related tools is an advantage. Prior experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments is preferred.
